bio

(german) sound designer, music producer and electronic geek from planet earth.

today, his programmed synthsizer sounds are used from artists as studios around the world.

in his own current public music projects Niels tries to explore new dimensions and worlds of sounds, timbres and music styles by pushing the boundaries and traditions from traditional analog to new digital music production technologies and workflows, synthesis forms on historical to new analog and hybride synths, instruments and production technologies until todays reproduction systems.

Niels uses keys, e-drums, pads, mics, diverse midi controllers and other "i/o adaptors" for getting his expression into music.

but still most important for him: have fun to listen.

history:

his musical and technical history started as a young child - grown up in the former GDR as a geek in electronics, computing and natural sciences - with a strong affinity to computers, electro-tech, music and neuro-/psychoacoustics. as a multi instrumentalist he made music in different more and less known (but mostly non-commercial) bands and orchestra projects while enjoying a lot of fun with cool friends and colleagues. in 2011 he founded his new dettenbach audio project studio ((d^b)) in Göttingen, germany, where he developes synthesizer and sampler sounds for artists and music producers around the world and works mainly on experimental, new music genres for industry.

studio:

Niels is the owner and heart of the ((d^b)) dettenbach audio studio (göttingen, germany) and vice versa.
